Since September 2013, our school meal provider has been Caterlink.
"Caterlink are committed to providing healthy fresh food. We understand the importance of using the best ingredients and all our chefs know how to cook using no salt, more fibre and less oil. We recognise that as custodians of our Fresh Food Policy, we need to ensure our menus encourage healthy, balanced eating and that they not only match but exceed the latest Government Guidelines.
The food children eat in school is very important for their education. Not only does a balanced diet help with general health but establishing healthy eating habits at a young age can give them knowledge for the future. We understand primary school children and their likes and dislikes so we tailor our menus to encourage maximum uptake."
Since September 2014, school meals are provided free for pupils in reception and years 1 & 2.
For all other pupils the school meal charge is £2.35 per day (with effect from September 2016).
Children are welcome to have mixed school meals and packed lunches during the week. However, we do ask that the meal pattern is kept the same for each half term.
Meal options are in place for a half term and notifications to change should be sent to the office a week before the end of the half term. It is important that the school office is notified of any changes in order to ensure school meal charges are accurate.
